A Special Kind of Gift
Greg and Brandy Brown, longtime supporters of the Ranching Heritage Association and strong believers in the vision for the Red Steagall Institute for Traditional Western Arts, have made an extraordinary gift to support the Institute’s mission. The Browns have donated their ownership interest in Somewhere West of Wall Street, the beloved television series that Greg has co-owned with Western icon Red Steagall for many years.

For decades, Somewhere West of Wall Street has shared the people, places, stories and traditions of the American West with audiences across the country. Through conversations with ranchers, artists, musicians, historians and other Western voices, the program has helped preserve and celebrate the culture and way of life that the Red Steagall Institute is being created to honor.
Valued at $5.3 million, the Browns’ gift will not be applied directly to the construction of the Institute. Instead, its impact will extend well into the future. Through the show’s content and revenue-generating potential, the gift will provide an important resource to help advance the Institute’s mission and support its ongoing efforts to preserve, educate and share the traditions of the American West.
This gift is a meaningful example of how the Institute’s supporters are investing not only in a building, but in a lasting mission. By helping ensure that stories and traditions of the West continue to reach future generations, Greg and Brandy Brown are contributing to the Institute’s vision for years to come.
We are incredibly grateful to Greg and Brandy for their generosity, their longstanding friendship and their continued belief in the vision of the Red Steagall Institute.
