LARRY HOBBS

Ranching Heritage Association Board Chair

Larry Hobbs was born and raised in Texas. Spending his early childhood in Limestone County, where he embraced a love for hunting, fishing, and ranch life. After graduating high school, Larry found himself searching for direction until being accepted into Texas Tech University in 1998. It was at the University’s Center for the Study of Addiction and Recovery that he found a supportive community that profoundly impacted the course of his life. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and met Stacy, the love of his life. Together, they returned to the Waco area to begin the next chapter of their journey.

Over the next 20 years, Larry steadily climbed the ranks in the family business, moving from production supervisor to CEO, and ultimately becoming the owner in 2016. However, his true passion for ranching eventually called him away. In 2020, he made the bold decision to step away from the business and fully dedicate himself to ranching—a choice he’s never looked back on. Larry remains deeply committed to his community, actively participating in civic organizations such as the Waco Business League and the Waco Industrial Foundation. Since 2003, he has served as president of the Spring Valley Water Supply Corporation.

Larry deepest passions are recovery and ranching. He has been honored to contribute to organizations such as the Ranching Heritage Association, Red’s Rangers, and the Center for the Study of Addiction and Recovery. Larry and Stacy are the proud parents of two children and the grandparents of two beautiful granddaughters.
